Independent and Canadian

Every AI security company got bought. We are still here.

Between 2024 and 2025, six AI security companies were acquired by large platform vendors. Buying AI security today usually means buying into someone’s platform, someone’s licensing, and someone’s procurement cycle.

SecuritAI is independent, built in Toronto, and sold on its own terms. You can start without talking to anyone.

What the consolidation actually changed

This is not a complaint about the companies that were acquired. They built good products and the outcomes were earned. It is an observation about what is left for a buyer.

When an AI security product becomes part of a platform, three things tend to follow. It gets sold through that platform’s enterprise motion, so the entry point moves from a signup form to a procurement cycle. It gets priced and licensed alongside the rest of the suite, so it is easier to buy if you already own the suite and harder if you do not. And its roadmap starts serving the platform’s strategy, which is a reasonable thing for the platform to do and not always the same as serving you.

If you already run that platform, this is convenient. If you do not, you are buying a relationship rather than a tool.

What independent means here

No platform to join

SecuritAI sits in front of whatever model you already use. There is no suite to adopt, no agent to roll out, and nothing to standardise on before you get value.

No procurement cycle to enter

Start on the free tier without a sales call. Talk to us when you want to, not because the product will not work until you do.

Flat pricing

A monthly rate by tier. Your security cost does not rise every time your product gets more popular.

One vendor, both halves

Testing before you ship and protection while you run, from the same place, so what red teaming finds is what the firewall blocks.

And Canadian, which is not a slogan

SecuritAI Technologies Ltd. is a Canadian company in Toronto, with Canadian data residency available. For a Canadian buyer that matters in three specific ways rather than as a flag on a website.

Your data stays under Canadian jurisdiction, which is a question every privacy review asks and a US owned platform answers differently. Your compliance obligations are ours too, so PIPEDA, PHIPA and the Ontario public sector rules are laws we live under rather than a market we researched. And you can reach the people who build it, in your timezone, without an account team in between.

If you want the detail on what those laws actually require, we publish it: see the Canadian compliance reference, including which of them prescribe controls and which only set duties.

The part you can check yourself

Claims about security products are easy to make and hard to test. Ask us to run our red teaming against a system you already have, and judge the findings report rather than the marketing.

Questions

Which AI security companies were acquired?

Robust Intelligence went to Cisco in October 2024 and became the basis of Cisco AI Defense. Protect AI went to Palo Alto Networks in July 2025 and now powers Prisma AIRS. Lakera was acquired by Check Point in 2025. Prompt Security went to SentinelOne, Apex to Tenable, and Aim to Cato Networks. Reported values for the three largest were roughly $400 million, $500 to $700 million, and $300 million.

Does being independent make SecuritAI better?

Not automatically, and we would not claim it does. The acquired products are good and their new owners have far more engineering behind them than we do. Independence changes how you buy and what you are committing to, not whether the detection works. Judge the detection on its own merits.

What does Canadian data residency actually mean?

That your prompts and responses can be processed and stored in Canada, under Canadian jurisdiction, rather than crossing a border and falling under another country’s legal process. Ask us which plan you need for it and we will tell you plainly.

Do I have to talk to sales to try it?

No. There is a free tier you can start on without a sales call.

Are you certified?

No. SecuritAI holds no SOC 2 or ISO 27001 certification today, and we will say so rather than imply otherwise. If certification is a requirement for your purchase, tell us early and we will be straight with you about where we are.
